Company Description
The Anita Foley Health Services Centre provides 24/7 emergency medicine coverage with two physicians. The facility includes 10 acute-care beds, 24-hour emergency services, and core diagnostic services such as laboratory, x-ray, and EKG. Additional services include a diabetes education centre, palliative care, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, foot care clinic, social work, mental health and addiction services, public health, and continuing care services. The hospital is attached to a 50-bed long-term care facility. Physicians have access to an on-call room with a bed, shower, TV, and internet, as well as meals provided from the kitchen.
Job Description
The Anita Foley Health Services Centre is seeking a locum physician to provide coverage for the Emergency department, Mildford Haven Nursing home (as needed) and one day of inpatient coverage for the following days in 2025:
- March 26, 27, 28, 29,30
- April 2
Qualifications
- College of Family Physicians of Canada Emergency Medicine certification would be considered an asset
- all applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- all family physicians must be eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
- membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
