Selection Criteria
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and eligible for registration in the province of Nova Scotia required
- Completion of an approved Critical Care Course/Critical Care Certificate/CCNP or Emergency Nursing Program (ENP) required
- A minimum of 3 years Critical Care nursing experience required
- BLS certification required
- Current ACLS/RQI ALS certification required
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Evidence of ongoing relevant education
- Demonstrated good interpersonal skills and ability to maintain good relationships with patients/residents, families and co-workers
- Willingness to do ambulance transports
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
Position Details
- Permanent full-time positions available
- Shifts include days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
Compensation and Benefits
$40.55 - $49.99 hourly plus 15% (NUR006TN/RN02TN)
$51.74 with 25 years’ experience, plus the above premium
Nurses employed in the Provincial Internal Travel Nurse Team will receive 15% added to their registered nurse, base hourly rate for all shifts worked as a Provincial Internal Travel Nurse. This additional compensation is subject to the provisions of the collective agreement and will follow the wage scale outlined below. External Nurses hired will be rated and placed on the salary scale in accordance with article 8.01 (A) of the nursing collective agreement.
