About the Opportunity
Reporting to the IMIT Manager - Development and Testing, this role will lead the development of innovative, high-performance applications. You will work across cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure applications tailored to user needs.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- 5+ years’ experience as a Full Stack Developer with proficiency in both front-end and back-end development
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Strong expertise in programming languages and frameworks for both client-side (e.g., JavaScript, TypeScript, or equivalent) and server-side development (e.g., Java, Python, Node.js, or equivalent)
- Solid understanding of web development principles, including HTML, CSS, and modern UI frameworks
- Experience working with relational databases, such as MySQL or equivalents
- Familiarity with RESTful API design and implementation
- Hands-on experience with version control systems like Git
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Experience working on projects in the healthcare sector, such as health information systems, electronic medical records (EMRs), telemedicine platforms, or patient engagement solutions an asset
About You Continued
- Familiarity with data privacy and security standards for handling sensitive health-related information an asset (e.g., Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), Privacy of Personal Health Information Act (PHIPA))
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies an asset (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with messaging frameworks (e.g., Kafka or RabbitMQ) or event-driven architectures an asset
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks an asset
- Prior experience in microservices architecture and distributed systems an asset
- Relevant certifications an asset (e.g., AWS, Azure, or relevant programming languages/frameworks)
- Experience integrating with third-party healthcare APIs, such as laboratory systems, insurance providers, or patient monitoring devices an asset
- Familiarity with the following tools, frameworks, and platforms will be considered an asset: NextIS, FireBase, GA, Docker, Kubernetes, Redis Cache, Gitlab Pipelines, OpenShift, SolarWinds Monitoring, Web IDE Visual Studio an asset
- Familiarity with Drupal or Strapi CMS an asset

Compensation and Benefits
$40.15 - $50.19 Hourly
