About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Manager, the Team Lead is responsible for the organization and the supervision of the daily operation of General Imaging in the Division of Diagnostic Imaging at Nova Scotia Health. In addition to the above-noted supervisory role, the successful applicant will also perform clinical duties within their fields of competency.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Radiological Technology
  • Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification
    Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure
  • Minimum (3) three years’ recent experience required working as a technologist in a hospital setting
  • Formal management course preferred
  • Strong leadership skills, with demonstrated progressive leadership responsibilities in a multi-modality/site imaging department.
  • Ensures competency, and maintains an ongoing interest in updating knowledge on new equipment and procedures
  • Practices excellent patient care; demonstrating courtesy, kindness and understanding using effective communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills that demonstrate the ability to prioritize upon short notice while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
  • Well-developed decision-making, analytical, interpretation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Conflict management skills and knowledge of appropriate resources
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours

  • Permanent full-time position; 75 hours biweekly
  • Shift work required, evenings, nights, and weekends

Compensation and Benefits

$34.40 - $41.76 hourly
