Job Description

Cape Breton Regional Hospital (CBRH) is seeking a full-time diagnostic radiologist.  Join Nova Scotia's thriving healthcare ecosystem, where your expertise is valued and your contributions drive innovative, compassionate care for generations to come.

Responsibilities

 

  • Deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging and interventional radiology services to patients across Cape Breton Island

  • Collaborate as part of a supportive team of eight radiologists serving the region

  • Perform and interpret a wide range of imaging studies, including:

    • Neuroradiology

    • Body imaging

    • Women’s imaging

    • Cardiac and thoracic imaging

    • Oncology imaging

    • Vascular and interventional radiology

  • Provide imaging coverage for three CT scanners located at Cape Breton Regional Hospital (CBRH) and Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital

  • Provide MRI services at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives including peer review, in alignment with Nova Scotia Health standards

  • Contribute to the ongoing delivery and enhancement of diagnostic imaging services within the community

  • Provide care and coordination of community-based care, and secondary and tertiary level health care.
  • Operate within the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of Nova Scotia Health Authority. 
  • Participate in quality improvement and evaluation activities. 

Expected Hours

  • Permanent Full-Time

Remuneration

  • $775,000 - $800,000 yearly
  • Fee for service
