Job Description
The department of Child and Adolescent Mental Health in Sydney is seeking a full-time child and adolescent psychiatrist to work in collaboration with other clinical teams in Cape Breton. The successful candidate will be able to participate in teaching through the family medicine residency program based in Sydney and/or with medical students through Dalhousie University.
Responsibilities
- Provide care and coordination of community-based care, and secondary and tertiary level health care.
- Provide direct clinical outpatient care
- Provide emergency medicine services in conjunction with our crisis team
- Operate within the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of Nova Scotia Health Authority.
- Participate in quality improvement and evaluation activities.
Expected Hours
- Permanent Full-Time (1.0 FTE)
- Ability to combine with additional part-time work in the Zone
- Call is required, shared amongst the group
Remuneration
- $236.01 per hour
- Hourly Arrangement as per the Physician Agreement - Doctors Nova Scotia

Qualifications
- All specialists must be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada(RCPSC)
- All applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS).
- Coverage with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA), or proof of alternative coverage.
