The Department of Radiology at Cape Breton Regional Hospital (CBRH) - Sydney Radiology Group, is looking to recruit a full-time general diagnostic radiologist to join the radiology group. The positions are expected to commence ASAP.
Cape Breton Regional hospital is a 250-bed tertiary care institution that provides a broad range of medical care to patients in the Eastern Zone of the Nova Scotia Health Authority. Expansion of the Cape Breton Cancer Centre including a new state-of-the-art CT in a satellite imaging unit with the new Emergency department are currently in progress.
The successful candidates will be part of a group of 8 radiologists serving the population of Cape Breton Island. Radiology services at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital are equipped to provide a full range of diagnostic imaging and interventional services. Radiology department looks after 3 CT scanners across two hospitals (CBRH and Inverness) and 1 MRI scanner. The group has multimodality expertise including Neuroradiology, Body imaging, Women’s imaging, Cardiac/thoracic imaging, Oncology and Vascular-interventional radiology. As a member of the professional staff body of NSHA, radiologists are expected to participate in quality improvement initiatives, including peer review.

- all applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- all specialists must be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC)
- membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
