About the Opportunity

The Renal Senior System Analyst reports to the Renal Program Manager of Informatics and Reporting, and is responsible for development, maintenance, and optimization of database solutions. The Senior System Analyst will be a meticulous SQL Database Programmer and ensure efficient data storage, data security, retrieval, and reporting. This position requires a strong attention to detail, high performance in a fast-paced environment, and accommodating impromptu requests with short turnaround. It also requires, ability to adapt to changing environments and learning new technology, as Renal Program implements provincial OPOR strategy.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

 

  • University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience is required
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Information Technology is required; including 2 years of database analysis/reporting and experience in applications systems analysis, design and development
  • Strong proficiency in SQL programming, ability to write stored procedures and advanced SQL queries with emphasis on efficiency for high volume reports
  • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in SQL queries, data integrity, privacy, and security
  • Experience in .NET Framework software development
  • Strong knowledge of up-to-date industry’s best security practices
  • Eager and able to acquire new skills (upcoming OPOR etc.)
  • Knowledge of regular expressions
  • Knowledge of scripting languages
  • Ability to develop and maintain reports and dashboards
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes
  • Experience with database design, normalization, and indexing
  • Knowledge of performance tuning and query optimization
  • Familiarity with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours

Permanent, full-time position, 75 hours biweekly

Compensation and Benefits

$39.29 - $49.12 Hourly
