About the Opportunity

The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the Education & Learning portfolio by effectively supporting the day-to-day operation of the planning and active training phases of the OPOR Program. The position coordinates all administrative activities, establishes administrative procedures and guidelines and acts as a liaison with the rest of the team within the portfolio. The Administrative Assistant documents meetings minutes and produces detailed meeting notes, with actional items.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Post-Secondary diploma in a recognized office administration, business administration or secretarial program
  • A minimum of 3-5 years’ of progressively responsible experience required, providing administrative support and office coordination, preferably within healthcare 
  • Undergraduate degree is an asset
  • International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP) certification is an asset
  • Recognize when an issue or situation is beyond knowledge or ability
  • Inform others when support is required
  • A high degree of initiative
  • Actively seek feedback about personal performance from a variety of sources
  • Inspire others through positive attitude and energy
  • Work with staff to identify development needs
  • Make people feel comfortable in expressing opinions and perspectives
  • Express information and ideas in a clear, convincing, and organized manner

Hours

  • Permanent, Full-time; 75 Hours Bi-weekly 
  • Work site is 100% onsite at various education sites 
  • 1 year contract with possible extension

Compensation and Benefits

$22.78- $28.48 Hourly

Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
