About the Opportunity

The Quality Assurance Specialist in conjuction with the QA Analysts and Management team will lead quality assurance efforts across multiple projects, ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance for the YourHealthNS program and the larger Information Management and Information Technology team.  They will work with the team to :

 

    • Define and establish comprehensive quality assurance strategies, processes, and standards tailored to the specific needs of iOS (Native App), Android (Native App), and web applications.
    • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential quality issues early in the development lifecycle and implement proactive measures to mitigate them.
    • Manage and execute detailed test plans that encompass various testing types, including functional, regression, performance, and security testing, ensuring thorough validation of system functionality and performance.
    • Continuously evaluate and refine QA methodologies to align with industry best practices and emerging technologies.

 

They will work to support large IMIT will be committed to a high standard of performance and will provide support across the organization to leverage IT applications aligned with NSH’s and its client’s strategic mission, vision and goals

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience in quality assurance or software testing on both web and mobile platforms
  • Experience with tools like Appium, BrowserStack, or TestComplete for testing mobile apps on various platforms
  • Experience with tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling for performance and scalability assessments
  • Experience in API testing tools like Postman, SoapUI, or REST-Assured to ensure backend reliability and performance
  • Experience working with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and testing within cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or TestNG for creating and maintaining automated tests
  • High level of diplomacy
  • Expert knowledge of project management methodologies and frameworks
  • Excellent communication skills; able to speak, listen and write in a clear, confident, thorough, and timely manner using appropriate and effective communication tools and techniques
  • Strong attention to detail

Hours

  • Permanent Full -Time; 75 hours biweekly

Compensation and Benefits

$35.97- $44.97 Hourly

Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan. (Permanent Long Assignments Only)
