About the Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Health Services Manager, the Ward Clerk will provide operational support and organizational assistance to the patient care area in the Inpatient Units with Mental Health & Addictions.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Graduate of a post-secondary secretarial, office administration program or equivalent or one-year administrative experience required
- Medical Terminology is required
- Recent certification in BLS or willing to obtain
- Demonstrated interest in contributing to quality patient care is required
- Experience/exposure to a health care setting is an asset
- Working knowledge of computers and various software applications is required
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks required
- Strong work ethic and adherence to confidentiality
- Demonstrated skill in working collaboratively and effectively with others required
- Ability and willingness to meet challenges and adapt to changing situations an asset
- An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered for this position
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours
- Permanent Full Time position; 70 hours per week
- A skill test will be included as part of the selection process.
- Shifts include weekends, and 8-12 hour shifts
Compensation and Benefits
$23.34 - $25.38 Hourly
