About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Provincial Manager of Health Promotion, the Knowledge Collaborative and Roots of Hope, Mental Health and Addictions, the Community Engagement Leader advances the work establishing a community-based partnership approach for promoting mental health and wellness.
As part of a provincial team, the Community Engagement Leader will provide leadership and support to the Mental Health & Addictions, Northern Zone community partners for operational planning, performance measurement, quality improvement, evaluation, and quality reviews. Other areas of focus will include leading, coordinating, facilitating community focused initiatives and events as well as public education and community engagement activities. The Community Engagement Leader will also be involved in supporting activities related to mental health literacy, mental health first aide, psychological first aide and psychological safety.
The Community Engagement Leader will help address and build capacity and structure to support our response to the Mass Casualty Commission's final report recommendations, relevant to Mental Health & Addictions program.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

•Bachelors Degree in a health related discipline is required. A Masters Degree in Health Services or equivalent is considered an asset. Experience in a mental health setting an asset.
•3 years demonstrated experience in project management and evaluation, redesign and quality improvement methodologies or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
•Advanced knowledge of health care delivery systems in various hospital and community settings.
•Expert-level skills in data management, statistical manipulation, and data analysis
•Demonstrated expertise and understanding of mental health information and unique data systems.
•Demonstrates understanding of the interrelationships of health care organization departments and services in program delivery.
•Credible leader with experience in complex planning and project development that includes multiple stakeholders, including academics, service providers and consumers.
•Project management experience/training an asset.
•Bilingual in French an asset.

Hours

  • Long assignment, full-time position; 75 hours bi-weekly
  • Assignment is approximately 24 months in length

Compensation and Benefits

$38.36 - $47.95 Hourly
