About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain Operations - Redevelopment Equipment stream, the Procurement Manager is responsible to lead a team of Procurement Coordinators and managing procurement activities related to furniture, fixtures, and equipment (“FF&E”) across Nova Scotia supporting healthcare infrastructure redevelopment projects.
The Redevelopment Equipment stream within the Supply Chain Operations division is responsible to provide FF&E planning, procurement and logistics services to numerous healthcare infrastructures projects across the province. This role provides an opportunity to work in close collaboration with various stakeholder groups, such as clinical, project managers, construction, suppliers and external consultants, to ensure successful project delivery.
As the Procurement Manager, you will be managing day-to-day procurement processes (e.g. RFQs, RFPs), ensuring alignment with procurement policy and timelines in a project-based environment. In this position, you will provide oversight and leadership in procurement planning and execution, supplier arrangement, negotiation, and risk mitigation planning. You have a knack for building relationships with stakeholders and strong multi-tasking ability in fast-paced project environments with competing priorities and strict timelines. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess procurement needs and develop sourcing strategies while monitoring performance and share KPI’s with our Leadership team for development and continuous improvement of the supply chain team’s capabilities and performance.
Using a “people and client first” approach, the Manager will support current and emerging technologies (e.g. SAP) and practices to establish a robust people-focused and service excellence culture across the province.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Undergraduate degree in a related field is required.
- Minimum of five (5) years' relevant management experience with directing and overseeing the supply chain activities within a large scale organization is required.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Recognized Professional Supply Chain Designation (CPP/SCMP) is an asset
- Must have demonstrated experience in leading, coaching, and mentoring others in a diverse environment, as well as team building and employee development.
- Experience in clinical setting or public procurement is an asset
- Possesses a solid understanding of supply chain process and key performance indicators
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Possesses solid financial, conceptual and analytical skills.
- High attention to detail with ability to produce high-quality, accurate work in a dynamic environment
- Strong team player with a positive attitude
- Ability to work well under pressure with multiple competing deadlines. Hands-on detail oriented with ability to think strategically
- Project management skills with the ability to organize, control and coordinate a variety of activities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with electronic purchase order systems
- Occasional travel to other sites or throughout the province is required
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Compensation and Benefits
$43.80 - $54.74 Hourly
