About the Opportunity

An IM/IT Project Manager, reports to an IM/IT Program Manager, and oversees a dynamic multi-disciplinary team responsible for the design, development, testing, and implementation of  IM/IT projects throughout the province. This supports the the organization and its clients direction towards the rationalization of disparate systems and the One Person, One Record (OPOR) strategy.

NSH IM/IT project managers are responsible for management of large and/or complex projects within NSH IM/IT as well as the support of NSH IM/IT project prioritization and supporting processes. NSH IM/IT project managers will also support NSH IM/IT managers and leads in education, training and development of their project management skills to allow managers and leads to support the smaller, lower complexity projects.

The IM/IT Project Manager will be committed to a high standard of performance and will provide support across the organization to enable IM/IT projects in support of NSH’s and its clients’ strategic mission, vision and goals. The IM/IT Project Manager performs a variety of tasks, including but not limited to, project oversight of resources and stakeholders; managing timelines and milestones; documenting outcomes; and, monitoring, summarizing and communicating the progress of activities to the appropriate leadership team members. Additionally, this leadership position ensures that all activities within their responsible area are supported by NSH IM/IT business plan, established policies/procedures, and in line with IM/IT service management level policies and practices.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Undergraduate degree required (consideration may be given to those with equivalent training and work experience)
  • Project Management Certification (PMP) required
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years’ leadership experience with IT/IM Services, project management, programs and services required
  • Master’s degree an asset, particularly in health administration, leadership, masters of business administration
  • Certified Health Executive (CHE) and/or Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS) designation an asset
  • IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Project Management Professions (PMO) and/or organizational change management certification an asset
  • Knowledge and skills in the areas of Project Management methodologies, IM/IT tools, applications and systems of support
  • Project Management experience in a complex health care organizational environment preferred
  • Strong knowledge of health care issues
  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills with the ability to multi-task to meet tight deadlines
  • Experience in leading teams of staff with indirect accountabilities to other operational units
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to execute through effective delegation, motivation and oversight
  • Clearly communicates NSH vision, mission and values
  • Experience in working with patient care leaders

Hours

  • Long-assignment, Full-time Position; 75 Hours Bi-weekly
  • Approximately 12 months (assignment length is subject to change)

Compensation and Benefits

$43.79 - $54.74 Hourly
