About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Manager of Chronic Pain Services, the Pain Clinic Coordinator is responsible and accountable for the daily operation and safe functioning of the Chronic Pain Clinics.  Provides leadership in the organizing, directing, and controlling activities within the clinics, in accordance with the Standards of Care, and established policies and procedures.  The Coordinator is responsible for the implementation of the recommendations of the District Pain Management Report.  Ensuring appropriate triaging of all patients at the Chronic Pain Clinic.  This responsibility is shared between the coordinator, other members of the chronic pain team and consulting physicians.  The triage process is outlined in the NSCPS Guidelines for Chronic pain Triage and remains dynamic based on the ongoing assessment of the chronic pain service team.

About You

  • Completion of an undergraduate degree in Nursing
  • Master’s Degree in a recognized allied health care program would be an asset
  • Minimum of five (5) years health care experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience in a pain management clinic
  • Demonstrates leadership ability, organizational skills, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in program planning and budget management
  • Demonstrates interest and proof of continuing education and professional growth
  • Experience facilitating groups and team building
  • Ability to adapt to flexible workload and/or stressful situations
  • Proficiency in computer programs, particularly Microsoft Office Suite and Access
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours

  • Full-Time, Long-Assignment / 75 Hours Bi-weekly 

 

Compensation and Benefits

$37.60 - $49.97 Hourly

Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
