About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Procurement Coordinator works in collaboration with internal and external clients and stakeholders and is responsible for the effective and efficient procurement of Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FF&E) in support of Redevelopment Equipment – Supply Chain Operations, including all Redevelopment Projects across the Province. 

The Redevelopment Equipment – Supply Chain Operations division is responsible to provide FF&E planning, procurement, and logistics supply chain services to numerous healthcare infrastructures projects across the Province. This role provides an opportunity to work in close collaboration with various stakeholder groups, such as Nova Scotia Health Redevelopment teams, Province of Nova Scotia, external consultants, and suppliers to support successful projects delivery.

The Redevelopment Projects will have complex, high risk, or high value requirements where the use of advanced procurement methods including market analysis, and the development of strategic negotiation tactics is essential in achieving successful outcomes.

The Procurement Coordinator will perform standard procurement related functions, (Purchase Order issuance with dollar values both over & under threshold) for their clients in relation to these assigned projects & programs, including supporting Alternate Procurement in creating requests for services to be performed by Service Nova Scotia – Internal Services – Procurement Shared Service by using Ariba.

This role supports the facilitation and navigation of the procurement process for their client’s projects, ensuring that related policies and procedures are adhered to while providing a consistent customer experience.  Aiding in finding creative solutions to situations that may be uncommon or unique, and providing access to additional quality and innovation that the market has to offer in support of the services that NSH provides for the care needs of all Nova Scotians

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree related to Business Administration, Finance or Engineering required
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Procurement role, required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), required.
  • Supply Chain experience in a Healthcare setting, considered an asset.
  • Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation, considered an asset.
  • Public Sector Procurement Program (PSPP) certificate, considered an asset.
  • Experience with SAP, considered an asset.
  • Required to be a self-starter.
  • Ability to lead a cross functional team of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills, including verbal, written, and listening.
  • Strong organizational skills are a must.
  • Ability to demonstrate problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Enjoy working in a team environment.
  • Understand the importance of building strong and trusting relationships.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain functions.
  • Ability to work in a sometimes-stressful environment with competing priorities.
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours

  • Long assignment, Full-time / 75 hours biweekly

  • This position utilizes a hybrid workplace model that combines working from home with working onsite.

Compensation and Benefits

$37.05 - $43.42 Hourly
