Biomedical Engineering Technician

Biomedical Engineering Technicians install, maintain, and repair medical equipment and devices that are used in healthcare settings. Biomedical Engineering Technicians are responsible for calibration, compliance with safety regulations and quality standards, as well as providing support in the case of technical issues.

Steps to becoming a Biomedical Engineering Technician in Nova Scotia.

Complete a Biomedical Engineering Technician program

Step 2
Register as a Biomedical Engineering Technician

To become a registered Biomedical Engineering Technician, you will have to apply to the Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (TechNova).

If you are certified in a country that is a member of the International Engineering Alliance (IEA), you may transfer to Nova Scotia. NON-IEA applicants follow the same process as a Canadian coming from a non-accredited program.
