Company Description

Lower Sackville Family Focus Medical Clinic is seeking a Family Physician to join its professionally managed clinic in a 1.0 full-time equivalent role. This clinic is located in Lower Sackville and is a comfortable commute to central Halifax. The clinic is professionally managed and fully supported by friendly administrative staff. There is also a walk-in clinic service provided at this clinic. 

This clinic uses MedAccess EMR. 

The incoming physician would be expected to build a roster of patients from the Need A Family Practice registry. 

Job Description

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Examine patients and take their histories, order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures;

  • Advise patients on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention
  • Consultation and referral to other medical practitioners
  • Act as a patient’s advocate
  • Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, inoculations and vaccinations
  • Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases as per Nova Scotia Public Health requirements
