Job Description

The Core Family Health is seeking a Family Physician to provide Locum coverage for the following dates:

December 21st 2026 to January 31st, 2027
March 1st, 2027 to March 12th, 2027
March 29th,  2027 to April 2nd, 2027

Responsibilities

  • delivery of comprehensive primary health care services to patients of all ages and stages of health or illness
  • work with other providers in the clinic to provide cross coverage and same day access
  • utilize an electronic medical record (EMR) and record all relevant patient details in a provincially approved EMR which is accessible to all collaborating team members

Remuneration

  • guaranteed daily minimum income of $1,200 for family physicians ($600 or half-day)
  • additional shadow billings if above amount is exceeded.
  • accommodations up to $300 per night 
  • travel expenses (including air fare up to $1,500)
  • travel time up to 10 hours per week
  • licensing fees for College of Physicians and Surgeons (CPSNS)

Clinic Details 

Core Family Health is a collaborative healthcare clinic with a team of 3 physicians, 2 LPNs, an office manager, a social worker, an occupational therapist, a dietician, a continuing care coordinator, a private practice psychologist and 3 experienced clerical staff providing essential administrative support. The practice fosters a highly supportive environment, ensuring comprehensive patient care. It utilizes the MedAccess electronic medical record (EMR) system to streamline documentation and enhance efficiency in patient management.  Physicians also have access to AI Scribe Technology.
