Richmond Family Practice is a well-established family medicine clinic located on the Halifax Peninsula, offering comprehensive, team-based care alongside a large and collaborative group of 14 family physicians. The practice is supported by experienced and dedicated clerical staff who contribute to a smooth and efficient clinical environment. With a strong collegial atmosphere and shared commitment to patient care, the clinic provides an excellent setting for physicians seeking a supportive and well-organized practice. The clinic utilizes Accuro EMR to support streamlined documentation and continuity of care.

Job Description

Richmond Family Practice is seeking a Family Physician to provide Locum coverage from:

  • to 06-19-2026 June 11 to 19, 2026
  •  July 23 to 31, 2026

Locum physicians provide coverage for family practices, including inpatient and nursing home care, as well as specialist hospital and office coverage as requested. Compensation includes a minimum daily income guarantee of $1,200 for family physicians ($600 for half-day), with additional earnings if shadow billings exceed this amount. Travel expenses, including kilometrage(within the atlantic provinces), per diems, accommodations (up to $300 per night), and airfare (up to $1,500), are reimbursed, along with travel time up to 10 hours per week.
