Job Description
Cumberland Regional Hospital (CRH), in Amherst, Nova Scotia, is seeking locum OB/GYN Physicians to join their team for the following:
- August 8
- August 9
- August 10
This opportunity is approved for fee for service (FFS) per the negotiated rates in the 2023-2027 Physician Agreement.
Expected Hours
Daytime coverage is 8am to 5pm and on-call coverage is 5pm to 8am.
Locum physicians provide coverage for specialists. Compensation includes a minimum daily income guarantee of $1,600 for specialists ($800 for half-day), with additional earnings if shadow billings exceed this amount.
Travel expenses, including kilometrage, per diems, accommodations (up to $300 per night), and airfare (up to $1,500), are reimbursed, along with travel time up to 10 hours per week. Licensing fees for CPSNS are covered, and locum physicians may claim Facility On Call fees under specific conditions.
Qualifications
- All applicants must be eligible for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
