The Department of Medicine at Dalhousie University and Nova Scotia Health seeks applications for a General Internal Medicine physician in the Division of General Internal Medicine at the QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax, Nova Scotia.

The Division of General Internal Medicine is one of 15 divisions within the Department of Medicine and is a leader of tertiary clinical services in the Atlantic Provinces. In addition to playing an important clinical role in the Department, division members have excellent opportunities for collaborative educational and research activities to facilitate rewarding and fulfilling career development.

Job Description

The Division is committed to delivering evidence-based, patient-centred care and fostering a supportive learning environment that nurtures core competencies and critical thinking. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the inpatient and outpatient clinical care team, actively contributing to the Clinical Teaching Units and taking part in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education.

Qualifications

Candidates must hold FRCPC (or equivalent) certification in Internal Medicine and FRCPC subspecialty certification in General Internal Medicine.

Any candidates with advanced training or experience in obstetrical medicine will be preferred, however this is not a requirement.

Candidates must have a record of consistent professionalism and good character, and be eligible for specialty licensure in Nova Scotia.
