Job Description

Join an established family practice in Barrington Passage, working one day a week in Dr Kenny Yee's Family Practice. This family practice is for all ages. This is a small rural community clinic where you would be caring for an established panel of patients. This is a perfect addition of small clinic community work. 

Responsibilities

  • provide comprehensive, full-scope primary health care to practice patients of all ages and stages of health and illness
  • maintain timely and accurate patient records using a provincially approved electronic medical record (EMR)
  • participate in quality improvement, practice evaluation, and other activities that support the delivery of safe, effective, patient-centered care
  • attend regular physician and team meetings
  • comply with the Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations, policies, and professional standards of Nova Scotia Health
  • partake in continuing medical education (CME) and professional development opportunities 
  • participate in teaching of medical learners

Expected Hours

  • Full-time Equivalency: 0.2 FTE
  • weekly hours: 8 hours per week, Fridays
  • call schedule: none
  • 46/52 weeks per year

The Dr Kenny Yee Family Practice is centrally located in a generous one story building beside two other private family practices which operate independently yet are supportive of each other.
