Company Description

Dartmouth South Medical Centre is seeking a full-time Family Physician to join its professionally managed clinic. This modern practice is minutes away from downtown Dartmouth and has beautiful views of the Halifax Harbour. This practice is comprised of three psychologists, two psychiatrists and one Family Medicine physician. As a newly constructed clinic with high-end décor, an incoming physician will enjoy working in this modern and stylish space, and have access to a spacious office and a separate examining room (with windows!) This clinic is professionally managed and fully supported by friendly administrative staff. The clinic is on Med Access EMR. Overhead is a reasonable flat rate.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Examine patients and take their histories, order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures;

  • Advise patients on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention
  • Consultation and referral to other medical practitioners
  • Act as a patient’s advocate
  • Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, inoculations and vaccinations
  • Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases as per Nova Scotia Public Health requirements
