Job Description
A rewarding family practice opportunity is available at the Musquodoboit Valley Family Practice from May 2025 to November 2025. This position offers a primarily family practice clinic role with weekdays-only hours, making it ideal for those seeking a balanced work schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Family Practice Clinic: Deliver primary care to patients in a supportive and well-equipped environment.
- Nursing Home Work (Optional): Provide care for a 29-bed nursing home if desired.
- Inpatient Care: Manage a small caseload of typically two patients per physician, often ALC patients.
- Ambulatory Care Time (Optional): Opportunity to engage in short-term ambulatory care appointments.
On-Call:
- On-call coverage is optional and only applicable for Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) physicians.
Schedule:
- Weekdays only.
- No mandatory on-call duties.
Qualifications
- All applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- All family physicians must be eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
- Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
