Company Description

West Bedford Medical Clinic is a new practice in the rapidly growing neighborhood of West Bedford. This bright, modern space is fully furnished, and physicians can expect robust technology platforms to support patient experience, reduce physician burnout while enhancing efficiency and productivity. The clinic also employs A.I. scribes to reduce physician documentation significantly.
The practice currently has one physician and a Registered Nurse on site, who is also the clinic manager. The clinic also employs several other part time nurses who can assist with paps, vaccines, etc.

The physician on site is a chronic pain and addictions specialist, a walk-in physician, and would welcome at least two more family physicians to join the office. Med Access is the EMR in use, and the clinic uses a patient appointment booking system and GPS enabled check in process.

This clinic uses MedAccess EMR, which is included in the overhead. The clinic also uses an online patient appointment booking system and eReferrals (Ocean) and self-enabled check in process. These tools have proven to be very popular with patients and help physicians and staff to minimize extra work!
There is no call schedule or duty clinic associated with this position.
The mission of the clinic is to serve as a model clinic that allows physicians to focus on core patient care and minimal administrative responsibilities in a modern, well organized, efficient environment.

This clinic is a brand-new build located in the rapidly growing area of West Bedford. There is a flex room which can be used for procedures; a dedicated staff room/washroom, and all main offices have windows. The space is newly furnished – computer, equipment, all provided. While this clinic is small, it fosters an extremely family-like and welcoming environment. The clinic also offers an RRSP matching program.

Community Details

Bedford is a suburban community of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. It was an independent town from 1980 to 1996. Bedford is on the northwestern end of Bedford Basin, an extension of the Halifax Harbour, which ends just before Nova Scotia Highway 102 and the Bedford Bypass, next to Lower Sackville. There is a popular walkway along much of the Bedford Basin waterfront that begins at DeWolf park, and continues as the Bedford-Sackville Connector Greenway, a crushed gravel covered trail that meanders along the Sackville River. There is an outdoor 25m pool and smaller splash pool located at the Lions Park on Shore Drive. In the summer there are numerous lakes suitable for swimming. The topography of the area limits the possible locations for soccer and football fields.  The community is currently home to six ice surfaces. Bedford is a well-established sailing community, and is home to the Bedford Basin Yacht Club and Marina.
