Company Description

Reporting to the C3 Senior Medical Director, the C3 Lead (Northern Zone) in collaboration with the C3 Senior Medical Director, Zone C3 Operational and Medical Leadership, will define and implement strategies to ensure effectiveness of the C3 Operations and help guide the mission and strategy of the C3. This role will champion the C3 within the clinical and physician community of the Northern Zone, ensuring effective use of C3 and promoting its adoption.

The C3 Lead will also be responsible for the standardization and consistency of consultative decisions made by the C3 team as it related to clinical matters such as prioritization of patients, resolution of disputes concerning patient’s level of care, and inpatient assignment to an appropriate service.

Job Description

The C3 Lead (Northern Zone) agrees to the following service deliverables :

  1. Serve as a medical champion of C3 throughout the organization and within the clinical community across the zone
  2. Raise awareness and support of the physician community, enabling its adoption of C3 at zone level and sharing feedback to improve C3 operations
  3. Participate in Zonal C3 implementation activities, which include development and monitoring of SOPS with physician impact.
  4. Provide clinical input to workflows affecting physicians including participation the C3 Clinical Advisory group
  5. Ensure consistency of C3 decisions as related to clinical matters within the Zone
  6. Ensure that the patient is at the heart of decision-making, enabling high quality of care, easy access, and seamless patient flow within the Zone
  7. Participate in the evaluation of C3 and help guide the development of the scorecard

Qualifications

  • MD licensed in Nova Scotia and privileged with Nova Scotia Health.
  • Evidence of past and ongoing leadership training.

  • Anticipated Start Date: November 15 2024
  • Compensation: Sessional Rate @ 4 hours per week over 46 weeks
