Job Description
Responsibilities
- work as a full scope of practice neurologist providing care to the patients within Western Zone
- support Nova Scotia Health in advancing the delivery of neurology care by liaising with the applicable staff within the zone and province
- offer consultation support to Western Zone, which includes day-time coverage only; while there is currently no on call requirement, that could change should circumstances allow for a 24/7 schedule with a maximum of 1 in 4 call
- be accountable to the patient population in Western Zone by providing clinics and occasional satellite clinics that will require travel
- responsible to the Zone Internal Medicine Department Head (or delegate) and ZMED for their professional responsibilities and quality of practice
- operate within the Bylaws, Rules and Regulations of Nova Scotia Health

Qualifications
- all applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- all specialists must be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC)
- membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
