Company Description

Medicine in Motion Sports Medicine and Arthritis Care Centre is seeking family physicians with their diploma in sports medicine or orthopedic surgeons to assess/treat patients with MSK issues referred from community family physicians. This is a multi-disciplinary healthcare facility that has a family physician, physiotherapists, massage therapists, a Canadian certified pedorthist (custom orthotics) and orthopedic bracing technicians assessing patients on-site. The sports medicine clinic has an EMR (MedAccess) in place. This beautiful clinic comes fully furnished and professionally managed. Job Description

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Examine patients and take their histories, order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures; advise patients on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention
  • Consultation and referral to other medical practitioners’
  • Act as a patient’s advocate
  • Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, inoculations and vaccinations
  • Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases as per Nova Scotia Public Health requirements
