Harbourview Hospital (HH) is seeking a full-time physiatrist to join their collaborative team that includes social work, a dietitian, a physiotherapist, an occupational therapist, a speech-language pathologist, an orthodic technician, and a family physician. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to support physicians and care at nearby Cape Breton Regional Hospital and may also participate in teaching through the family medicine residency program based in Sydney, and/or with medical students through Dalhousie University. HH is a long-term care and rehabilitation care facility located in Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia. It is a small site that evokes a strong family presence. The hospital is divided into two specific areas: a 28 bed Level II long-term care unit and a rehabilitation and restorative care that services up to 21 patients. Within the continuing care area is a unit specifically designated for war veterans. HH provides inpatient and outpatient care.

Qualifications
- all family physicians must have membership with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
- all applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- all specialists must be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC)
- membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
