Porter’s Lake Medical Clinic is currently seeking a full-time Physician, located a short 40 minute drive from Halifax (30 minutes from Dartmouth). This practice currently has one full time family physician and has space for one more. There is a nurse practitioner on site one day a week. Opportunity to do small procedures (i.e. IUDs, moles) is available on site.
This practice currently part of a Collaborative Emergency Centre group (CEC) in which physicians participate in long term care rotations (a few hours a week) inpatient rotation at Twin Oaks Memorial (1 week in 6) and emergency department shifts (1 day a week) and approximately 70% office based practice.
The position is compensated through the CEC hourly rate, offers competitive overhead. The compensation model may change as the CEC group works towards an LFM transition model.
This practice is currently located on Nova Scotia Trunk 7 in Porters Lake, but is going to move to a temporary space and then a new space within the next year. The future facility will have multiple physicians and other allied health professionals.
This location is approved for the DHW incentive (for those who are eligible) and is an approved site for IMG Physicians on ROS.
