The Opportunity
The Administrative Assistant II plays a vital role in supporting the Division Head of Clinical Genomics within the Precision Medicine program, providing dedicated clinical, academic, and research assistance. This position delivers high-quality administrative, secretarial, and organizational support, serving as the first point of contact for inquiries and helping to ensure smooth communication and efficient operations across the service.
In addition to supporting the Division Head, the role also provides assistance to lab scientists and other team members. It requires a high level of independence, initiative, and professionalism, with the ability to work effectively without close supervision.

Your Qualifications
- Minimum High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
- Graduate from a recognized Secretarial or Office Administration Diploma Program (or equivalent) required.
- Minimum six (6) months of related administrative/secretarial experience required; 1 year preferred.
- A combination of equivalent education and experience may be considered.
- Applies critical thinking to address issues effectively.
- High regard for quality and attention to detail required.
- Demonstrated excellence in communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills required.
- Demonstrated initiative; self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision required.
- Excellent planning, organizational, prioritization and time management skills required.
- Experience preparing and formatting documents, including but not limited to reports, correspondence, and meeting minutes.
- Strong working knowledge of Medical Terminology required.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including slide presentations, spreadsheets, and database applications, with experience using AI-powered tools to assist in document creation, formatting, and data organization.
- High degree of flexibility with ability to work under pressure required.
- Competency in other languages considered an asset.
