About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Director of Rehabilitation Services & Ambulatory Care the successful applicant is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership to the multi-disciplinary teams within a patient-centred Collaborative Practice Model for patient care units and programs within the South Shore (Lunenburg, Queens and Annapolis Counties) area of NSH (WZ). Reporting to and in conjunction with the Health Services Director Rehabilitation Services & Ambulatory Care, the Manager Rehabilitation/Ambulatory Care WZ plans, develops, implements, coordinates, evaluates and manages all activities and resources of a coordinated and integrated rehab/ambulatory program for the Western Zone. The programs operate based on evidence, using population health approach addressing identified health needs of the zone while promoting relationships within NSH, various communities, and external interest groups. The Manager collaborates with the multidisciplinary team and stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient program delivery. The Manager is involved in the development and management of intersectoral service delivery of programs in the Western Zone.

The Manager ensures that the principle and practices that guide NSH such as the vision, mission, values, expected behaviours, the leadership philosophy, organizational health, population health, ethics, safety, quality, partnerships and interprofessional collaboration are visible at the front line and within daily activities.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Baccalaureate degree related to healthcare or management is required.
  • Current designation with professional associations; IE: Occupational Therapy/Physiotherapy, Nursing, Social Work
  • Master’s degree related to healthcare or management is preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years recent related experience, including at least two (2) years experience in a formal leadership role with responsibilities related to program planning, evaluation, human resource, partnerships and financial management.
  • Information systems - ability to work within Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience with independent management skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with and engage others
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Demonstrated interest and proof of relevant continuing education/professional growth
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours

  • Permanent Full-Time / 75 hours bi-weekly
  • Shifts may include evenings, weekends, holidays

Compensation and Benefits

$46.35 - $61.59 Hourly
