About the Opportunity
The Administrative Assistant provides comprehensive support to the Senior Director by managing daily operations, coordinating administrative activities, and establishing procedures and guidelines. They act as a liaison within the portfolio and across Nova Scotia Health, offering leadership, mentorship, and standardization for other administrative assistants. The role also includes supporting committees, working groups, and other members of the Clinical Performance and Professional Practice portfolio, as well as providing backup to the Executive Assistant to the Chief Nurse Executive and Vice-President when needed.

About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Post-Secondary diploma in a recognized office administration, business administration or secretarial program. Undergraduate degree is an asset
- Minimum of 5-7 years’ of progressively responsible experience, providing administrative support and office coordination at the executive level, preferably within healthcare and within an integrated service model provided throughout several locations with multiple partners and stakeholders.
- International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP) certification is an asset
- Knowledgeable in Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Reconciliation and Accessibility principles and understanding, training or completed certification is an asset
- Demonstrated advanced skills in modern office practices, technologies, and information management
- Proven experience using meeting and information technologies to enhance efficiency and organization
- Skilled in leveraging technology for meeting planning, tracking, and information retrieval
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, prioritizing and organizational skills
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
Compensation and Benefits
$25.6347 - $32.2431 hourly
