About the Opportunity
We are currently seeking dedicated and experienced Short Order Cooks to join our team. As a Short Order Cook with Nutrition and Food Services, you will play a vital role in supporting the efficient operation of our healthcare facilities and contributing to the delivery of exceptional patient care.

As casual Short Order Cook positions are created or become available, selected candidates will be contacted for an interview.
The Short Order Cook is responsible for preparing fresh to order room service menu items for patients, clients and customers within a fast-paced line cooking team environment. The Short Order Cook is responsible for the ingredient control of recipes which includes the measuring and portioning of recipe ingredients and the production of food items for the patient menu. The Short Order Cook is also responsible for following cost control procedures, safe food handling procedures, therapeutic, allergy and menu standards, and providing overall customer service according to departmental standards.
Frequent physical demands including extensive standing and walking, bending, lifting, pulling, and pushing, and transferring food supplies throughout the shift.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:- Grade 12 or GED
- 1-year related experience
- Ability to deal with customers and patients in a courteous, helpful manner
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly wages starting at $21.60 - $24.00 hourly
- 11% in lieu of benefits and vacation
- Casual Relief 3%
- Shifts can include day, evening, night, weekends, and holidays
