About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Provincial Director, Trauma Care, the Provincial Trauma Program Manager is responsible for the overall management of day-to-day operations and works closely with the Provincial Director and Senior Medical Director to provide strategic leadership for the Trauma Program. This role includes oversight of all provincial operations, encompassing education initiatives, quality improvement programs, trauma prevention, research, and the trauma registry. The Provincial Trauma Program Manager has direct responsibility for Central Zone operations, including the trauma consult service and virtual clinic. The Provincial Trauma Program Manager plays a pivotal role in the development, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of program initiatives, ensuring alignment with Nova Scotia Health’s strategic priorities and a commitment to continuous quality improvement. Through collaboration with colleagues, multidisciplinary teams, and stakeholders, the Provincial Trauma Program Manager establishes and upholds program standards, policies, and procedures while driving effective change to deliver high-quality, safe, and cost-effective services that enhance patient outcomes and experiences.
The Program Manager demonstrates effective communication and organizational skills, applies sound professional judgement and initiative to motivate self and others, and incorporates into daily practice the Core Competencies and Values of Nova Scotia Health. Travel to various sites is required.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a health-related discipline
- Master’s degree in health related discipline, health administration, business administration or related subject preferred
- Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience and responsibilities
- Equivalent experience and/or alternative education may be considered
- Knowledge and/or experience working in trauma care or trauma system management/leadership
- Demonstrated interpersonal effectiveness through highly skilled oral and written communication
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strategic partnerships and collaborative working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
- High level of judgement; group management and facilitation skills; and an ability to effectively deal with a wide range of individuals, organizations and diverse cultures

Hours
- Permanent, Full-time position; 75 hours bi-weekly
- Travel between sites may be required
Compensation and Benefits
$45.45 - $60.39 Hourly
