About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Senior Director OPOR, the Director, Clinical Solutions OPOR oversees a team of multi-disciplinary professionals and is responsible for the overall management of a number of OPOR Clinical Information System modules/services areas and provides guidance to front line leaders to help them manage their respective service and programs. The Director contributes as part of the leadership team to the strategies and operational plans consistent with legislation, accountability frameworks, and the mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of the province. Within their portfolio, the Director advances evidence informed clinical best practice through clinical standardization and adoption and use of technologies and clinical information systems. The Director fosters collaborative and interprofessional practice environments that optimizes care provision through clinical standardization, meaningful use of technologies to support practice, health service leadership and collaborative learning for health professionals (regulated and non-regulated), as well as for other care providers and support services. They promote the development of an organizational culture that focuses on ongoing learning and effective, evidence-based practice to support clinical transformation and advancement of clinical standardization and learning to improve health outcomes through optimal use of technology. The Director contributes to the design and development of comprehensive strategies to support the effective, efficient, and sustainable delivery of services and programs.
The Director provides leadership to advance excellence in quality, person centered care and practice through integration of a variety of programs and services. Working in partnership with senior leaders, managers and staff, the Director takes a leadership role in creating a culture of learning with a focus on clinical standardization, clinical leadership, and adoption and meaningful integration technology and clinical information systems into clinical practice. The Director ensures the design and delivery of learner centered education, to develop and enhance staff skill and knowledge, and coach leaders to help create environments that use technology to support clinical best practice and care. The Director oversees a provincial team that is well versed in clinical standardization, knowledge translation, education, adoption of technology, role optimization, and quality practice environments.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and 10+ years progressive leadership experience
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years’ progressive leadership positions in health care in addition to having clinically related practice or clinical application experience
- Master’s degree an asset, particularly in health administration, informatics, or leadership
- Certified Health Executive and/or Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS) designation or willingness to obtain
- Experience as a strategic leader within a complex organization, enabling change and leading transformational projects and providing strategic advice to senior management
- Experience in working with patient care leaders and staff across a large organization
- Knowledge of relevant legislative and regulatory frameworks applicable to the practice of health professions
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task to meet tight deadlines
- Experience in engaging, mentoring, and empowering teams and stakeholders in a collaborative, participative manner to respond to the mission, vision, goals and objectives an organization
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills with ability to interpret statistical data and monitor quality and performance indicators and benchmarks
- Strong interpersonal skills with high level of competence in both written and verbal communication
- Understanding of clinical systems, IT tools and processes
- IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and/or organizational change management certification an asset

Compensation and Benefits
$56.95 - $71.19 Hourly
Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
