About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Health Services Manager and working under the direction of the Charge Nurse and Staff Nurse, the Patient Attendant is responsible for supporting patient care activities in their work area including: assisting in the movement and transportation of patients; cleaning equipment and work areas; maintaining equipment and handling of sterile items.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

 

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Current certification in CPR
  • Current certification in WHIMIS
  • Previous Patient Attendant experience an asset
  • Previous experience working in OR environment is preferable
  • Must be able to respond quickly to unexpected situations and work effectively in emergency situations
  • Ability to lift and move patients using proper body mechanics and/or lifting devices
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team, with highly developed interpersonal skills
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours

  • Long Assignment, Full-Time / 75 Hours Bi-weekly 
  • January 2025 to January 2026, approximately 12 months
  • Shifts rotate between 10A and 11A OR 
  • Shifts are days and evenings

Compensation and Benefits

$20.13 - $21.69 Hourly
