About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Nutrition and Food Service Manager, the Booking and Registration Clerk B contributes to the effective operation of the program by assisting in the general organization, client/patient flow and efficiency of ambulatory nutrition care services in the Western Zone. The Clerk B performs clerical and administrative duties following NSH policies and procedures while maintaining a high standard of customer service and discretion in handling confidential matters. The Clerk B will schedule clients/patients for appointments, complete required forms and patient mail outs, and will support data entry and organization of clinical statistics.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Grade XII or equivalent required
  • One-year business/administrative/secretarial program, or one-year related experience required
  • Medical Terminology course preferred
  • Experience using Meditech preferred
  • Computer experience (Windows, MS Office) and typing/keyboarding are required Minimum of 40 wpm with accuracy
  • Customer service courses an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Co-ordination, organization and decision-making abilities must be present
  • Ability to function independently and as a member of a team
  • Ability to learn and work quickly and be adaptable to change
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

  • Casual Relief 3%

Compensation and Benefits

$23.35 - $25.39 Hourly
May be eligible for 11% in lieu of benefits
