Reporting to the Department Head and under the direction of the Laboratory Client & Support Center Technical Manager and the Research Manager, the Project Coordinator/Analyst is responsible for the coordination of projects conducted within the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. This includes the administration of related projects, support for clinicians, literature reviews, report composition and database management including accessing, linkage and analysis of data derived from clinical, routine and population databases.

 

 

About You

 

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

 

- Masters in a health sciences or social sciences discipline (e.g. epidemiology, community/public health, biostatistics or health economics)
- Degree or diploma in a related health profession (eg. Nurse, Allied Health, Psychology, etc.) or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be accepted
- Minimum of two years experience in the relevant health profession 
- Current registration with the relevant professional healthcare licensing organization desirable
- Experience in database management and analysis
- Previous research experience required
- Previous experience with Ethics submissions protocol and grant writing considered an asset
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, email and internet
- Proficiency in at least one statistical analysis software package (e.g. SPSS, Epi-info, SAS, STATA, SYSTAT)
- Proficiency in specialized technology programs related to the study
- Familiarity with health records
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Strong report writing skills
- Effective interpersonal, communication and teaching skills
- Demonstrated time management and organizational skills
- Demonstrates sound judgement in decision making
- Ensures confidentiality and works in an ethical manner
- Effective research and analytical thinking skills
- Strong negotiation, conflict resolution and rapport-building skills
- Ability to work well independently as well as within a multidisciplinary team environment

Hours of Work

 

Long Assignment, Part -Time (30 hours bi-weekly)
Beginning January 2024 until July 2026

Salary

$36.51 - $45.64 hourly
$71,202.89 - $89,003.66 annually
