Licensing for Social Workers applying from the U.S. 

Before applying for a Social Worker job in Nova Scotia, you’ll need to become registered with the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers (NSCSW). If you were educated in the United States, this process includes having your degree assessed by the Canadian Association of Social Workers (CASW) and meeting provincial education and experience requirements. Depending on your background, you may also complete a supervised mentorship component. We recommend starting the licensing process early to allow time for document review and assessment—and our team is here to help guide you through each step.
