River Hebert

The three sisters located off the coast of Chignecto Provincial Park

Nestled in the rolling landscapes of Cumberland County, the Village of River Hebert provides its residents with a quaint and tranquil rural lifestyle on the river. The town's charm lies in its historical roots, reflected in well-preserved landmarks such as the River Hebert Miner's Memorial Park. Until the late 20th century, coal mining was the major industry in the area, but the last mine closed in 1981.

The village is home to 1442 River Hebert Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps, a pre-primary to 12 school, a public library, a medical centre, and more. The town's small size fosters a tight-knit community spirit, where local events and gatherings are cherished opportunities for socializing. Living in River Hebert allows for a slower pace of life, inviting residents to appreciate the simplicity and natural beauty of their surroundings.
